Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani is a firebrand lady who doesn’t believe in “zipping it” when confronted with even mild criticism. She had a spat on twitter with the Education Minister of Bihar who asked her about the National Education Policy. Irani was quick to respond and asked Ashok Chaudhary since when he had taken to addressing women as ‘dear’.

Trolls took a dig on both the education ministers, reminding them of the delay in the unveiling on the NEP and of the pathetic education system of Bihar. In a response, Smriti Irani, who called herself Aunty National in her FB post, wrote this:
There is no denial that Ashok Chaudhary had intended it more as sarcasm than as a tool for raising a genuine question. Congress has been targeting Smriti Irani deliberately on twitter to gain popularity in the social media and such blunt responses, although meant to clarify the Minister’s take on the matter, help the opposition in gaining a base against her and her Government.
