When it’s comes to travel it is really hard to beat our workaholic PM. Prime Minister Narendra Modi left for a five nations tour on June 4th with 7 schedules per day to score unlimited gains for India.
PM along with President of Afghanistan inaugurated Afghan-India Friendship Dam that was earlier known as Salma Dam, in Herat province.
PM thanked Afghani President for naming the dam as Afghan-India Friendship Dam.
Ashraf Ghani and PM Modi held talks on a range of issues including current situation in Afghanistan. Later, PM was awarded with highest civilian Afghan honour, the Amir Amanullah Khan Award.
As we all know PM never forgets to meet our people abroad. He met Indians working in the Indian Consulate in Herat.
After his short but momentous visit to Afghanistan he landed in Doha, Qatar as part of his second leg of his journey. As a special gesture, PM of Qatar received PM Modi on the airport.
PM’s agenda is loud and clear, supporting our citizens abroad. His Qatar engagements began with visit to Workers’ Medical Camp in Downtown area where he shared a meal with them and addressed them as an elderly family member.
PM addressed business leaders of Qatar and praised role of Emir of Qatar in promoting India Qatar business ties.
Altogether seven agreements were signed between India and Qatar on investments, skills, health, tourism to strengthen #IndiaQatar ties.
Before leaving for Switzerland, PM met Indians living in Qatar.
He arrived late night in Geneva, Switzerland with discussions over ‘Black Money’ and India’s bid for NSG membership.
As per the schedule he held an early morning meeting with Swiss Prez Schneider-Ammann and thanked him for his support on India’s bid for NSG membership. Later he addressed a business roundtable highlighting the importance of Swiss model of skill development relevance for India.
He is set to leave for Washington where he is going to hold meeting with Presidnet Obama and will address the joint meeting of the US Congress which will be followed by a lunch to be hosted by the Speaker.
