‘Super 30’ coaching centre has once again established that it is one among the best coaching institutes in India for CBSE JEE. CBSE JEE Advanced results were declared on June 12 and 28 students of the Patna based coaching institute cleared it with flying colours.
Under the banner of “Ramanujan School of Mathematics”, Super 30 runs an innovative educational programme under the guidance of mathematician Anand Kumar. The institute has once again set a record of 28 students cracking the JEE (Advance) examination.
The story of Anand Kumar’s rise from a street vendor to a famous ‘Super 30’ personality, has introduced a new concept of teaching to unprivileged students.
The best part about “Super 30” is that it not only teaches the unprivileged students of the state free of cost but also provides accommodation and food to the aspirants.
A majority of the students who successfully cleared the examination come from families of marginal farmers, part time teachers and daily wage labourers.
Anand Kumar told PTI (news agency), “I would have been happier had all the 30 students made it. But it cannot be always be like that. I wish all the success to those who have not been able to make it. They will certainly excel in their chosen fields.”
While speaking exclusively to India Today Education last year, Anand Kumar had disclosed that his brother Pranav Kumar was the sole reason of starting the Super 30. His brother knew that Anand had keen interest in Mathematics and therefore suggested that he turn this interest into a profession. It was in the year 1997 when Anand got famous for teaching Mathematics, an article was also published in June.”
Previous years’ results:
- In 2013, all 30 students managed to clear the examination
- In 2014, as many as 27 students cleared the examination
- In 2015, 25 candidates successfully passed the examination

Anand further told the news agnecy that he never imagined Super 30 would be getting this famous. He said, “I feel it’s the students who joined my classes and did well for themselves and made my programme big. Our country’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, discussed our Super 30 and even greeted us.”
Discovery channel shot a film on Super 30 along with other global media giants like Al Jazeera, NHK (Japan), French TV, and Chinese TV.
